CEO/ FEATURED ARTIST
BONNO
Sunny BONNO Kuti born and raised in Southeast Washington DC this young brother has the potential to dramatically alter the music industry with his immense versatility. "I can honestly write a song about anything. I just listen to where the beat tells me to go." Bonno or Bonn (pronounced bone) seemed to have fallen in love with music from birth. With his mom being a poet and his father a Saxophone player, it all came naturally. That isn't the only musical lineage in his bloodline. Fela Kuti the Legendary Nigerian musician is Bono's great-uncle. At the very age of 6 is when the young Bonno wrote his first song and ever since then "I just knew I want to be a rapper."
One thing about the preciousness of life is that its changes are forever Inevitable. Losing his father while almost losing his own life on the same day was the very first hardship encounter that the DC native endured. Not only that but at the young age of 17 Sunny found himself incarcerated for an armed robbery as you can hear direct quotes about his life in his songs "Memories" or "Stay Humble." "I think the amount of insight I have on life and its problems allows me to express my mind and point of view perfectly within my music." I been through so much that I don't believe it myself but for some reason after being homeless as a youth, mom on drugs, the loss of my father and serving 8 years in prison, I seen everything but God so I can't be amazed."
